Fur Star Resort was created with one clear vision: to build the kind of place we, as pet owners, would feel completely comfortable trusting with our own animals. We wanted to bring daycare, boarding, grooming, and professional training together under one roof, giving families a place where their pets can receive exceptional care with safety, structure, and individualized attention at the center of everything we do.
What sets Fur Star apart is the experience behind it. Our approach combines attentive, individualized care with extensive professional experience in animal behavior and training. We understand that no two pets are alike, which is why we take the time to understand their individual needs, temperament, and comfort level so we can provide an environment where they can feel secure, engaged, and well cared for.
Our commitment to professional care extends throughout our entire team. All Fur Star staff are required to hold a Certificate in Small Animal Care and Handling issued by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). From a day of play to an overnight stay, grooming appointment, or training program, our goal is simple: to give your pet exceptional care and every family confidence in the people caring for them.
The safety and well-being of every pet in our care comes first. We combine attentive supervision, experienced staff, thoughtful protocols, and technology designed to help us maintain a secure, carefully monitored environment around the clock.
We believe exceptional care also means recognizing each pet as an individual. Their personality, routines, comfort level, and needs guide how we care for them, whether they are with us for daycare, boarding, grooming, or training.

Our Space
At Fur Star Resort, every part of our facility has been thoughtfully designed around the comfort, safety, and well-being of the pets in our care. From dedicated indoor play areas and a fully fenced outdoor yard to carefully monitored boarding accommodations, our space provides an environment where pets can play, rest, and receive the individualized attention they need.
Boarding
Our indoor daycare space includes separate play areas for large and small dogs, allowing our team to create a more comfortable and appropriately managed environment for dogs of different sizes. The spacious indoor areas provide plenty of room for supervised play, socialization, and activity throughout the day, while giving our team the flexibility to manage groups based on size, temperament, and individual needs.
Yard
Our fully fenced outdoor yard gives dogs room to play, explore, socialize, or simply enjoy some time outside. During the warmer months, the yard becomes its own summer retreat, complete with a dog pool and water features for cooling off and play. Dogs who would rather stay dry can stretch out on our elevated Sun Deck, one of the most popular spots in the yard, or relax in the shade beneath the covered area. And because no dog yard is quite complete without one, there’s even a fire hydrant.
Boarding Accommodations
Our boarding accommodations are designed to provide pets with a secure, comfortable place to settle in and rest during their stay. Each individual accommodation is equipped with 24/7 video monitoring, giving our team continuous visibility throughout the boarding area. The facility is also climate controlled, with systems that continuously monitor temperature and humidity and provide notifications to our team so conditions can be closely monitored around the clock.
A Clean, Carefully Maintained Environment
Cleanliness is an essential part of maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for every guest. We use carefully selected cleaning and disinfecting products that are safe for use around both pets and people, while maintaining rigorous standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility as part of our daily care practices.
A Space for Our Feline Guests
Fur Star Resort also provides dedicated accommodations for cats staying with us.
Grooming Area
Our dedicated grooming area provides a comfortable, professional setting for all grooming services. The space is equipped to support everything from routine bathing and coat maintenance to full grooming appointments, providing a setup designed to support safe handling and a calm, comfortable experience for every pet.
